Falcons lose in Embarrassing Fashion at Home 25-0 To Patriots

It was yet another disappointing effort by the Atlanta Falcons in back to back games. After losing to Dallas in embarrassing fashion 43-3 on Sunday, the Falcons didn't look any better at home vs Patriots as the lost 25-0. . The first home shutout for the Falcons since 1988. Hate that the fans had to watch the Falcons struggle the way they did. The run game was a none factor same for the passing attack.

The Falcons were without Calvin Ridley and Cordarrelle Patterson, and it showed. The Falcons didn't have much chance on offense. The Falcons finished with 165 total offensive yards while the Patriots finished with 308 total yards. Ryan was sacked four times and hit 12 times as his line was shredded. The Falcons could manage only 40 yards rushing on 16 carries.

The Falcons became the first team since Nov. 12, 2000, to have three quarterbacks intercepted in the same game. It last occurred when San Diego’s Jim Harbaugh, Ryan Leaf and Moses Moreno threw interceptions in a 17-7 loss to the Dolphins.

The Patriots offense didn't have to do much. Jones hit Nelson Agholor for a 19-yard touchdown. Nick Folk was 4-for-4 on field goals. The Patriots ran the ball well, controlling the clock and the flow of most of the game. Only bright side for the Falcons defense is A.J Terrell picking off Mac Jones in the third quarter.

The Falcons travel to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars (2-7) on Sunday, Nov. 26.
